There are 3 different types of people you can hire to give your business the best chance of success.

When you understand who they are – what makes them tick and their impact – you can see what may be missing in your business and why you need them. Alternatively, using these descriptions you can work out which one you are, then create optimal success by bringing in the people who will complement your type and fill any gaps that that may currently be missing.

Here are the 3 types of people you need to run a successful business:

1. Connectors

Connectors like to talk and they’re good at it. These are the people with lots of phone numbers in their contact list. They are natural salespeople. They will talk to anyone about anything. They know what to say and when to say it. They know how to truly connect with people and it’s joyful for them.

Connectors are essential to the success of your business. You can hire connectors to be a part of your team and they can contribute dynamically to business growth. However, this may not be required, as connectors will sometimes come to you, pay you for your product and then tell everyone they know to buy product from you as well.

The connectors who buy products from you are quite often your best salespeople. If they like what you offer, they will tell their family, their friends, strangers in the supermarket… everyone they meet!

2. Movers

Movers are ambitious, high energy people who know how to run a business. Always a step ahead of the rest, their expertise lies in knowing what needs implementing today to grow the business tomorrow.

They are continuously looking at all of the possibilities and asking, “What’s required next?” And whatever it is, they make it happen!

Movers create a sense of ease for your business and projects. Whatever project they are working on, you can rest assured that they will know exactly what is required for every step of the process and will have everything in place way ahead of time. That’s the key to their success.

3. Creators

Creators are the dreamers and visionaries. They are always looking at what they can generate and create next. Their ability is that they are able to see what else is possible in business and in life. They naturally function in the questions of, “What else is possible? What choices do I have?”

Creators are the people who are constantly generating new ideas. They love having the vision of what something will look like. For creators, the beginning of an idea and knowing the future possibilities of that idea generates a sense of joy.

Each one of these types of people is essential to the success of your business and each is equally important.

Which One Are You?

Ask yourself these questions: What part of business is fun for you? What do you most enjoy doing? Once you identify which role you naturally function in and begin to do that, you will have a much greater sense of joy and ease in your business. You may find you are good at all three. Then you are a foundational person. You probably prefer to do one or two of them. So ask for someone to show up that can be the other required energy for the business and add more to what you create.

Remember, you don’t have to do it all yourself. Do what you’re good at. Do what’s joyful for you. Ask, “Who or what else can I add to my business?” Invite people along who have the skills that you require and let them do what’s joyful for them. Not only will your business expand, you will have fun in the process!
